AMAG Technology developed its first electronic access control system for IBM in
Havant, England,
in 1970. Since that time, we´ve continued to innovate new products
and capabilities that harnessed the power of modern technology to provide the highest
levels of security without inhibiting necessary activities.
For example, in 1983 AMAG manufactured the first microprocessor-based access control
system. Four years later, we developed one of the first DOS®-based systems. In 1995,
we developed the world´s first large-scale physical access control system using
smart cards. At the turn of the century, AMAG systems were supporting some of the
world´s largest biometric-based access control systems.
Today, AMAG Technology access control and security management systems are securing
